Forget the spring fling! If our horoscope is any indication, we’re all primed for a little summer love this week, mainly because today’s International Kissing Day! I know, right? So whether you’ve been going steady with your sweetie for a while or snuggling up to someone new, no one wants to walk away with lipstick smeared all over your face or collar. So as such, I dug through my cosmetic case to share a few of my favorite formulas that will keep up with your romantic rendezvous without moving an inch, regardless of your beauty budget.  Pucker up!

  1. NudeStix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil, $24
NudeStix has become the go-to brand for that #Flawless look without spending and hour in front of the mirror amongst the social set and Generation Y, as it functions as lip color, lip liner, and blush with a matte finish and a 6-hour budge-proof formula that feels comfy and soft, not dry and deteriorated.
  2. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, $20
Considered to be “life-proof” by everyone’s who’s gotten their hands on a tube, this lip color goes on like a gloss and is formulated with Vitamin E and Sunflower Seed Wax to keep pouts plush as it dries down to a matte finish for 24 hours of wear (and tear, depending on what you get up to).
  3. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick, $24
One of the many heroes from this line (you also have to try the l, this has been a backstage staple at New York Fashion Week for many a season with fresh shades showing up every season. I have a tube of this stuff in Besos (how apt!), and it’s pure magic, promising 6 hours of pigment-packed coverage.
  4. Giorgio Armani Ecstacy Lacquer, $38
Boasting a Liquid Vinyl Technology that delivers the highest concentration of water-soluble pigments, this lacquer allows for buildable coverage from a sheer wash of long-lasting color to high-impact stain that won’t wear away no matter how long your make out sessions ends up being.
  5. Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color, $1.79
A budget-focused beauty buff’s brand of choice, Wet n Wild was where we got our start on the cosmetics circuit, but these lipsticks are just one of the reason you should return. Formulated with vitamins A and E as well as coenzyme Q10 for comfort and hydration, it’s a cheap thrill I can’t get enough of.
  6. Milani Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick, $4.99
Many matte lipsticks are formulated to dry quickly but can leave your pout looking parched as a side effect. But Milani’s popular lippies have seen a serious surge of hype in the social sphere thanks to grape seed extract to hydrate lips without sacrificing (serious) color payoff or length of wear for the price.
