#OnMyVanity: Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush 3-In-1 Creamy Body Wash

I receive a slew of samples, and when I find something I like, I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Disclosure: I received a sample of this from the brand for consideration, but the opinions are all my own.

I might be very detailed about my skincare routine, but shaving is another story. I usually skip it in the winter to help keep me warm (jk) since who’s going to see my leg hair under layers of leggings, tights, and trousers? I just don’t feel like it’s spring until I feel the silky softness of my freshly shaven legs. (I consider it summer already since it’s been hot enough to need shorts.)

But razors are only half the battle though as what you use to score some slip can determine how much hair you actually take off as well as how your skin will look and feel after a razor’s run over it. I’m pretty low-maintenance most of the time, using a bar of soap to smooth over my stems and slathering on loads of body cream as soon as I step out of the show to compensate for moisture loss. But it wasn’t until this winter that I started re-thinking my shaving routine for the season ahead.

I had attended Soap & Glory’s 2018 preview expecting to find a bevy of brand new, freshly scented bath buys as well as a multitude of a makeup musts and I wasn’t disappointed. While I couldn’t get my hands off of the slew of new sheet masks that quickly became part of my #SundaySkincare Showdown, as a lover of products that can perform double if not multiple duties, I was so excited to discover the Sugar Crush 3-in-1 Creamy Body Wash that allows you to scrub up, shave, and soften your skin all at once.

Once I got it home from the event, it went immediately into my shower and never left. In fact, I’ve had to put it on a rotation with other soaps and body washes to keep from burning through the bottle before the temperature rose about 50 degrees. But as you can see below, it’s almost done already.

While the splashy lime scent instantly reinvigorated my morning showers (during the season’s darkest, dreariest days), it also became another moisturizing must for me, thanks to the formula’s blend of vitamin E, shea butter, and almond oil. It kept my skin hydrated throughout the rest of the winter when my skin tends to get dry enough to split and crack.

As for its shaving skills, the thick, creamy texture lathers up nicely to go over the legs without dripping while you work. It also doesn’t clog up the razor in the process, so you can cover a large area without rinsing after every pass. The result is smooth skin that feels silky and supple (especially when you rub your legs together) even if you forget to apply a body lotion after washing up. So with the skin-baring summer practically upon us, I know I’ve got to get my hands on another bottle so I can feel like this all season long.
